Most faucets, more or less, assume a similar shape, which is why Italian manufacturer Gessi wanted to take a slightly different approach. Conceived by Italian designer Prospero Rasulo, the company’s new Goccia collection was inspired by the fluid and natural shape of a drop of water. As a result, the faucets strike a sculptural pose that terminates in a suspended droplet. Faucets are made from solid cast brass and are available in top-mount, floor-mount and wall-mount styles, but they also come in an unusual ceiling-mounted style (which is becoming common among European brands). Finishes include chrome, brushed chrome, white, and matte black. Gessi. www.gessiusa.com.
