The Zephyr Cache Range Hood is a New Way to Look at Kitchen Ventilation

Berkeley, Calif.-based Fu-Tung Cheng is a designer, the Principal of CHENG Design, and a concrete virtuoso who also knows a thing or two about product design (check out his Elements cabinet line for TONUSA). His latest creation for range hood manufacturer Zephyr is the Cache under-cabinet hood. Unlike most range hoods, this one features a simple design with a utensil rail and a stainless steel façade that conceals a spacious storage compartment for herbs, spices, olive oil, or whatever you’ll need in the kitchen. The unit is available in 30-, 36-, and 48-inch widths, and various fan ratings. www.zephyronline.com.

  1. Nice! Fu-Teng really designs some great-looking hoods. Although, herbs, spices, and oils would probably spoil/age faster stored directly over a range.
