Tile Week 2011, Day 2: These Soli Tiles Go Where Few Dare to Go

Launched in 2005, Los Angeles-based Soli Architectural Surfaces manufactures and distributes some of the most unusual and exotic tile and stone in the industry. The high-end outfit offers typical fare such as stone, metal, and terra-cotta, but the company also offers unusual fare such as these Resin and Coconut wall tiles. The Resin product includes hand-sorted natural stone pebbles suspended in a clear resin, while the Coconut features woven shells sorted into matching colors and glued to a mesh backing. Resin, which retails for about $50 per square foot, comes in five colors and Coconut comes in seven. www.soliusa.com.
