If you don’t know what Tyvek is think of express envelopes from FedEx or the U.S. Postal Service. Dutch Artist Paula Arntzen knows about the material, which is why the she uses post-consumer coated Tyvek to make her Trianon chandelier. Named after the palace of King Louis XIV, Grand Trianon is a large, lightweight chandelier that emits a soft checkerboard glow from behind its surface of folded slits. The Grand Trianon measures 28 inches long and 23 inches wide. She also offers a Petit Trianon measuring 22 inches by 14 inches. You can buy both fixtures at Artecnica.
